Welcome to the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin!
Here you will find all the important information about everyday student life and the advisory services available, as well as the dates of the departmental plenary meetings, which will be announced on the homepage at the beginning of October. You will also be informed about all important procedures and events by email.
Important information about the course of study and the opportunities available at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin can be found in our study start brochure. You will also receive a paper copy of this brochure on October 13 at the enrollment ceremony. The current version will follow soon.

Important dates:
Enrollment ceremony: October 13, 10 a.m., auditorium
Introduction to the artistic fundamentals and campus tour to follow (only for students in their first semester of undergraduate programs).The student advisory service can be found in room A 1.03 during the introductory weeks. Tuesdays 2–5 p.m., Wednesdays 12–3 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 2–5 p.m.
Welcome meetings:
Erasmus students: October 7 at 10 a.m.
Master's students and transfer students: October 7 at 1 p.m.Workshop introduction: October 8 from 10 a.m.
(only for MA and exchange as well as transfer students)

>>Here you will find a >>Guide to course selection in the first year of study (BA and Fine Arts)! On October 14, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., the theory and history instructors will introduce themselves and their offerings for the coming semester in the auditorium.
The practical courses and projects of the individual departments as well as the course presentation of the artistic basics are always presented at the beginning of the semester in the general assemblies. You will also receive all important information by email.

Susan Lipp will be happy to consult you all about the studies, also with study-related burdens and problems such as uncertainties in courses of studies or about the choice of courses, postponement behaviour, exam nerves, problems with graduation and study difficulties. The student advisory service is also happy to support you in cases of mental or chronic illness or disability and will work with you to find solutions.
