We are very pleased, that you are interested in our Master's degree programme in Spatial Strategies. The application process for the winter semester 26/27 is open from 1 March - 31 Mai (new deadline). Applications are only possible for the winter semester.
The two-year fee-based program is intended for graduates of universities and academies, artists, architects, culture and media scholars, designers, sociologists, scientists etc. who wish to acquire - after a one year professional experience - an additional artistic qualification and Master of Arts.

First-time applicant? Then click on “Register,” create a user account, and follow the instructions. Then enter the activation code that will be sent to you by email. (Do not close the window so that the registration is not canceled.)
Already registered? Then log in with your existing credentials. Your username is your email address.

2. Create application
Open the “Applications” tab in the online application portal and click on “Create” to create your application for the desired degree program.
NOTES
Applications can only be submitted within the application period. Start early to clarify any questions.
Important: Do not click on ‘Exchange programme’. This is only relevant for Erasmus semesters.
3. View important information about the required application documents
After submitting your application, you will receive all the information about the required documents by email and in the portal.
4. Add missing data
In the “Applications” tab, click “Edit” to add all the necessary data and supporting documents.
You need to reopen the tabs “Academic Education” and “Artistic/Professional Experience” via “Edit” after saving in order to upload the required PDF documents there.
Save your changes.
NOTES
You can see incomplete information in the “Overview” tab.
If you have studied at several universities or academies, add further educational qualifications in the ‘Academic educations’ tab by clicking the ‘Create’ button.
At the time of application, international applicants must submit at least one language certificate at level A2. Please upload your most recent language certificate as a PDF file. Confirmation of the language course you are currently attending is also sufficient. >MORE INFO
Applicants from the People's Republic of China, Vietnam and India must include the original certificate confirming that the papers have been pre-checked by the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS). Please contact the respective APS office: -> China-> Vietnam-> India
5. Upload application documents
Upload all required documents in the “Additional information” tab by clicking on “Edit” and then on the upload icon.
6. Submit application
Submit your complete application within the application period.
Application Materials
Portfolio of recent artistic work (can be supplemented with theoretical or curatorial work)
Proof of the ability to work scientifically, artistically and transdisciplinarily through a written exposé (3 - 4 pages). In it, applicants should describe their individual study goals and a proposal for their own study project
Certificate of your successfully passed first academic degree, in form of an officially authenticated translation in German or English.
Proof of at least one year of work experience in a field relevant to the program, which was obtained after the first degree
CV - Brief curriculum vitae (study-relevant information)
Additionally for international applicants:
Language proficiency certificate - International applicants must upload a language proficiency certificate at level B1/B2 as a PDF file when applying. An official C1 certificate is required for final admission (e.g., TestDaF 3, DSH-1, telc Deutsch B2 Hochschule, DSD I, or Goethe-Zertifikat B2).
A certified German or English translation of the university degree certificate and proof of professional experience is required. The degree certificates must be recognized in Germany (anabin.de).
Copy of valid residence permit (only for admission)
Applicants from India, Vietnam, and the People's Republic of China must submit an APS certificate. Please contact the APS at the German Embassy in good time.
1.250,- € plus approx. 360,00 € semester fee (Germany semester ticket, enrolment and administration fee, social contribution, ASTA)
