PLEASE NOTE: An additional homework assignment is required in the Fashion Design, Product Design, and Visual Communication programmes. This assignment will only be given once your application has been created. To allow enough time to complete the assignment, it is advisable to apply early. For all other departments, it is also advisable to apply early to allow time to ask any questions you may have.
TRANSFER STUDENTS (Application for a higher semester)
APPLICATION PERIOD: For the summer semester from December 1 to January 5 and for the winter semester from May 1 to 31.
The periods may vary. Admission for the summer semester 2026 is still unclear.
The student advisory service is available to advise on general questions regarding the study program, such as application and admission procedures, guest student community, and transfer students.

Online consultations: The Student Advisory Service also invites you to open/virtual question and answer sessions during the application period! Every Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. (Nov 4 to Dec 30)! Study programs at weissensee art academy berlin
The design departments: Fashion Design, Product Design, Textile and Material Design & Visual Communication offer an 8-semester Bachelor's programme (240 ETCS), after which you can apply for the two-year Master's programme (120 ETCS). The diploma programmes in Fine Arts with the degree courses: Painting, Sculpture and Stage and Costume Design comprise a standard period of study of ten semesters and you will graduate with a diploma (300 ETCS). All undergraduate degree programmes start with a one-year artistic and creative foundation course.
The Master's degree programme in Spatial Strategies lasts 4 semesters and 120 ETCS are acquired here.
The postgraduate Master's degree programme in Art Therapy is a three-year, part-time programme that is completed with 120 ETCS.
