Ulf Aminde is Professor of Performative Spaces at Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, where he teaches in the Department of Artistic Foundations. In 2016, he initiated the *foundationClass in collaboration with Miriam Schickler — a programme designed for prospective students with experiences of racism and displacement. For eight years, he co-directed the programme together with Miriam Schickler, Yemisi Babatola, Katharina Kersten, and Shira Lewis. In 2025, after around 150 participants had completed the programme, the *foundationClass was discontinued due to a lack of funding.
From 2016 to 2024, Ulf Aminde served as Co-Head of the Department of Artistic Foundations alongside Christine Goutrié. Together, they also took part in the EU research project (A)rt and (R)esearch on (T)ransformations of (I)ndividuals and (S)ocieties – ARTIS.
Ulf Aminde teaches power-critical methodologies in film, performance, and spatial practice. As an artist and filmmaker, his work also focuses on creating spaces for anti-racist and survivor-centred remembrance. Since 2016, he has been developing the Antiracist Memorial on Keupstraße in Cologne in collaboration with survivors, as well as with supportive individuals and initiatives.

Ulf Aminde ist Professor für Performative Räume an der Kunsthochschule Weißensee in Berlin und unterrichtet in den Künstlerisch-gestalterischen Grundlagen. 2016 initiierte er dort in Kooperation mit Miriam Schickler die *foundationClass für Studieninteressierte mit Rassismuserfahrung und Fluchthintergrund. Über 8 Jahre leitete er das Programm gemeinsam mit Miriam Schickler, Yemisi Babatola, Katharina Kersten und Shira Lewis. 2025 wurde die *foundationClass, nachdem rund 150 Personen das Programm absolviert hatten, aufgrund fehlender Finanzierung eingestellt. Von 2016-2024 war Ulf Aminde neben Christine Goutrié Fachgebietssprecher Grundlagen. Gemeinsam waren sie auch Teil des EU-Forschungsprojektes "(A)rt and (R)esearch on (T)ransformations of (I)ndividuals and (S)ocieties - ARTIS".
Ulf Aminde lehrt machtkritische Methodiken in Film, Performance und Raum. Als Künstler und Filmemacher plant er neben seiner Lehrtätigkeit u.a. Orte des antirassistischen und betroffenenzentrierten Erinnerns. Seit 2016 entwickelt er mit Überlebenden und solidarischen Personen und Initiativen das Antirassistische Mahnmal an der Keupstraße in Köln. Er wird vertreten durch die Galerie Tanja Wagner.
