Scope of application
In this data protection declaration, users are given information about the way and extent their personal data is collected and used by the responsible provider.
The data protection framework is provided by the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz / BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz /TMG).
Gathering general information
Each time this website is accessed, we and/or the web space provider gathers information automatically. This information, also known as server log fles, is of a general nature and cannot be traced back to specifc individuals.
Information collected includes: name of website, fle, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which accessed our service) and the IP address.
Without this data, it would be technically impossible to deliver and represent the content of this website. Therefore the collection of this data is necessary. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. It helps us to optimize our service and technology. We also reserve the right to subsequently check the log fles in cases where illegal use of our services and content is suspected.

Integration of third-party services and content
Our offer sometimes includes contents, services, and performances of other providers. These include maps or calendars provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube or Vimeo, and graphics and images from other websites. The transmission of the IP address is absolutely necessary so that these data can be called up and displayed in the user's browser. The providers (hereinafter referred to as "third party providers") thus perceive the IP address of the respective user.
Even though we make every effort to use only third-party providers who only need the IP address in order to deliver content, we have no infuence on whether the IP address may be stored by them. In this case, this process serves statistical purposes, among others. If we are aware that the IP address is being stored, we will inform our users accordingly.
This website uses so-called cookies. These are text fles that are stored on your computer by the server. They contain information about the browser, the IP address, the operating system and the Internet connection. We do not pass this data on to third parties or link it to personal data without their consent.

On this website we use the software "Matomo" (www.matomo.org), a service of the provider InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand. The software sets a cookie on your computer. If the website "https://kh-berlin.de" is called up, the following data is stored:
- the IP address of the user, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymized)
- the called subpage and time of the call
- the page from which the user reached our website (referrer)
- which browser is used with which plugins, which operating system and which screen resolution

The data collected with Matomo is stored on our own servers. A passing on to third parties does not take place.

In order to be able to consider a data block at any time, it is necessary to keep the data in a block fle for control purposes. If there is no legal obligation to archive the data, you can also request the deletion of the data. Otherwise, we will block the data if you so wish.
Modifcation of our data protection declaration
We reserve the right to make changes at any time in order to ensure that our data protection declaration always complies with the current legal requirements. This also applies in the event that the data protection declaration has to be adapted due to new or revised services, for example new services. The new data protection declaration will then take effect the next time you visit our website.
