Ursprüngliche Akkumulation

In the seminar we will read the chapter about Primordial Accumulation of the 1st volume of Capital by Karl Marx. We will discuss its difficulties and applications to the present day. We will continue the semester following current political discussions by reading excerpts from Silvia Federici (Calican and the Witch) and David Harvey. We will trace the connection between the term of Primordial Accumulation and the notion of "the commons". And we will introduce our exhibition project „Principio Potosí“, which was based on these terms. The seminar will be in English or German, as it is better for understanding. All texts are available in both languages.
