Rolling Thunder‘s Weaving Didge

EXPERIMENTAL WEAVING

 

An experiment with a slit trunk; inspired by similar warp trunks of the Pazeh-Kaxabu people on Taiwan. It isn‘t known, how they used it with their circular warp on a foot loom, but here a practical solution, how it functions to easen the roll-off of the warp by releasing the counter-rope at the weaver‘s end.
