Flux Form – Robotic Biogel Printing | Leandra Balliel
Bioplastik ist ein nachhaltiges Material, weist jedoch oft eingeschränktere Eigenschaften auf. Flux Form untersucht das „Programmieren“ von Biogel mittels robotischer Fertigung. Es wurde ein Setup entwickelt, das erprobte Verfahren angewendet. Eine exemplarische Ausarbeitung erfolgte in Form eines Wearables für den Arm. Durch frei gesetzte Punkte können Regionen beim Druck ausgespart werden, damit Beweglichkeit gewährleistet ist. Das Verfahren kann künftig auf Bereiche wie heilungsunterstützende und medizinische Orthesen optimiert werden.

Bioplastic is a sustainable material but often exhibits more limited properties. Flux Form explores the “programming” of biogel through robotic fabrication. A set-up was developed, and the tested process was then applied. An exemplary implementation took the form of a wearable for the arm. By freely placing points, certain regions can be left out during printing to ensure mobility. In the future, the process could be optimized for applications such as healing-supportive and medical orthoses.
