Boloid - ein Möbelsystem zum Umziehen | Lea Pesch
Inspiriert von futuristischen Designbewegungen thematisiert dieses Projekt den Wandel hin zu mobilen Lebensstilen, aufgrund von Urbanisierung und zunehmender Migration. Angesichts knappen Wohnraums in den Städten wird es immer schwieriger, langfristig bezahlbare Wohnungen zu finden, und das stetige Umziehen gewinnt an Bedeutung. Boloid ist ein flexibles Möbelsystem für diese Realität: Aus Aluminiumstreben und Verbindungselementen entsteht eine faltbare Struktur in hyperbolischer Geometrie. Ohne die Materialplatten lässt es sich kompakt zusammenklappen – platzsparend, leicht, wiederverwendbar und für ein Leben in Bewegung.

Inspired by futuristic design movements of the past, this project explores a mobile lifestyle shaped by rapid urbanization and rising migration flows. As digital work grows and housing becomes less affordable, people may increasingly adopt nomadic ways of living. Boloid is a flexible furniture system designed for this lifestyle. Built in a hyperboloid geometry from aluminum struts and joint connectors, it creates a lightweight yet adaptable structure. By removing the surface layer, the system can easily fold to less than a quarter of its size. Boloid offers an adaptable approach to furniture – space-efficient, reusable, and designed for a life on the move.
