Feminist Lunch Break #9, 13.5.2025 Reciprocity - Artist Talk with Nayeli Vega Vargas

In this edition of the Feminist Lunch Break, Nayeli Vega Vargas (Textile and Material Design) will reflect on the relevance of lived experience, biography, and collaborations as foundational elements in shaping creative research and practice. Drawing from her own trajectory—which weaves together experiences of migration, motherhood, and collective work—she will examine how these dimensions of identity inform her artistic inquiry. Nayeli Vega will argue that creativity is not a neutral or isolated act, but a situated and relational process shaped by context, care, and collective labor.

 

Through specific examples of projects, Nayeli Vega Vargas invites to rethink feminist strategies of collaboration, reciprocity, and shared world-making.
