“Waterbodies” deals with evolutionary processes based on Astrida Neimanis’ hydrofeminist theory “Bodies of Water”. In times of water crises, governments and industry seem to fail. They don’t offer solutions to urgent problems but often intensify them. From the bottom up it needs people who become agents of an alternative life. Water is the element that, more than any other, ties human beings to the world around them – from the oceans that surround us to the water that makes up most of our bodies.

Until now, we have only started to embrace the power to modify ourselves. What if we’d use water as a medium of knowledge transfer and storage for narratives that make new realities tangible? With the watery skin patch we can bring watery family members together, carrying a reservoir for knowledge and water, our vital liquid, at the same time.
