How does the conception we have of our planet translate to the way we treat it? How do we understand our role as human »navigators« of earth? And what do we do, if both earth and humans begin to leave the expected path and wander off into unknown terrain?

»Lost in Space« is a website that explores how the Earth and its terrain are visually represented in cartography, and what this reveals about our (modern, western) concepts of space, Earth, and our role as humans.
