TIDE / WS23/24 / Frieda Kamphues

The bachelor collection is entitled Tide and deals with the fragmentary character of memories. It is about memories of something that has been lost, but that only becomes real through remembering and at the same time changes its form and truth and is the only thing that remains. During the visual exploration of the topic, structures were observed in the sand that emerge at low tide and remain behind when the water recedes.

An essential aspect of the inspiration are foam residues that have settled on the sand after the water has disappeared.
