OBJECT ORIENTED / SS22 / Victoria Rost

The collection »Object Oriented« challenges the question of what’s defining an object as an object and a garment as a garment. Where do the boundaries between those fields lay? Can you wear an object for dinner? Can a garment be so immanently speaking for itself that you would look at it as a sculpture? How you feel in it? Does it make you act differently?

The collection consists of 9 wearable objects in total, taking parameters like material, affordance and feel from seating objects, which become wearable by ergonomic transformation.

It provides new forms, functions and volumes, and lets the wearer question its classical understanding of what a garment can be.
