light translation

Light Translation is a project exploring the phenomenon of mirroring surfaces. The survey examines the reflective potentials not only of glass, but also of porcelain. The mirror is inevitably connected to the situation of reflection, and has instigated two parts of the project: Reflexion I explores ghostly reflexions and distorted mirrors. Reflexion II interacts with light and compares the reflective quality of glazed porcelain and glass as a potential to form haptic light reflections. The result of the explorations is a materialisation in a series of objects and the theoretical reflection interwoven with them.
