TOYS FOR THERAPY

The human hand is not just a tool but

the most important exploration organ. The function of the hand can be severely restricted due to accidents, injuries or diseases. TOYS FOR THERAPY is a set of playing objects for hand therapy. The movement patterns of the hand were ca- tegorized and translated into adult-com- patible exercise objects for the individual areas of the therapy. The set is suitable

for both therapy in practice and at home. Clear, intuitive objects become everyday companions, which lead to play. Simple physical feedbacks integrated into the objects give feedback on the execution of the exercises. The project was supervised by Prof. Barbara Schmidt and Prof. Susan- ne Schwarz-Raacke.
