Wintersemester 2018/2019, BA/MA Visuelle Kommunikation VK_2019

❀ Räumliches Gestalten, Buchmessestand, 2019

For the Leipzig Book Fair 2019, it was our objective to take a political stance due to the past year’s incident where a right-wing publisher’s stand was situated opposite to the school’s stand. The school wasn’t prepared for such a situation and hence wasn’t able to take a firm and clear position by sending a message for cross-cultural openness.

As the students were preparing the book fair’s stand, we bore in mind that such a situation may occur again. The team of students in charge aimed for a subtle message. The stand and brochure/poster would, on the one hand, present that year’s selected publications and, on the other hand, it would display our philosophy and point of view in form of a manifest and an illustration with various, intertwined shapes.
