yaalpanam waste flow untersucht Ab-
fall als Teil historisch gewachsener Infra-
strukturen im Norden Sri Lankas. Aus
lokalen Materialflüssen und Praktiken
entsteht ein dekoloniales Gestaltungs-
konzept. �ழ� (Suḻal) ist ein Netzwerk
aus Mikro- und Makroebenen, deren
Schnittstelle Sammelstationen bilden
und so neue Zugänge zur Abfallentsor-
gung schaffen. Durch die dezentrale
Zwischenlagerung werden Abgabe und
Transport zeitlich entkoppelt und an
lokale Gegebenheiten angepasst. So
werden räumliche und zeitliche Barrie-
ren reduziert und der Zugang zur
Entsorgungsinfrastruktur verbessert.

decolonial design concept emerges from
local material flows and practices.
�ழல் (Suḻal) is a network of micro- and
macro-levels whose interface is formed by
collection points, creating new approaches
to waste disposal.Decentralised
temporary storage separates collection
and transport in terms of time and adapts
them to local conditions.
This reduces spatial and temporal barriers
to waste disposal and improves access to
the waste management infrastructure.
