Mending the Void

During times of instability, the imperative to offer spaces for encounter and reflection serves as a gentle form of resistance against the uncertainties stemming from societal, political, and environmental challenges. To continue to love within these spaces means to resist and honour the continuum that binds the past to our present and future. Our past is laden with memories etched deep within us, our present facing unforeseen shifts influenced by power structures and ecological crises, and our future oscillates between the imaginable and the unknown.

 

The MA program Raumstrategien (Spatial Strategies) at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin opens a door to a pluriverse space. As a group of practitioners – visual artists, architects, activists, writers, performers, and more – we weave tapestries of contemplation, navigate the complexities of our world, and imagine alternative possibilities for conjunction and understanding, even where there seem to be none.

 

Join us in this journey of reflection and transformation as we traverse the potential of space to mend the fragments of our existence.
