Summer Semester 2010,

SUSTAINABLE BAGS AND ACCESSOIRES

Targeting the modern consumer’s craving for constantly new accessories, Maria Koch aimed to substitute a variety of short-lived fashion accessories with only one multifunctional and multi-versatile bag, made from recycled materials.

The result was a small collection of bags that cater to a multitude of needs. Depending on the occasion, a large, practical bag turns into something that is small, compact and fashionable, or vice versa.

The front parts of all bags can be replaced in a few simple steps - the individual customer can modify its design according to her purpose or mood. The bags were made from recycled material from used leather jackets, bags, belts and material scraps. To increase the capacity of the bag, a laser cut net of parallel incisions allows the bag to expand when needed.
